Judo club in Basingstoke

Kids Judo in Basingstoke. Basingstoke Children's JudoWe are a Judo club based at a full time professional dojo in Basingstoke, which makes training easier and safer when practicing Judo. We are registered with the British Judo Association, the sport’s National Governing Body. We are the only Judo club in Basingstoke to hold Sport England’s prestigious Clubmark quality Kitemark accreditation. Clubmark thoroughly vets the processes and procedures within a club along with the actual coaches and their coaching style to ascertain the ability of the club to ensure a high quality learning environment for it’s members.

Being a member of the British Judo Association means that you can be confident of the coaches and their skills and ability to teach good Judo. Our Basingstoke Judo club not only attends events put on by British Judo and Hampshire BJA Judo, we also hold our own regular internal courses We invest in the ongoing development and education of our coaches technically with regular senior coaching and coach education sessions on improving their Martial Arts / Fitness techniques and skills. Also with Sport England recommended courses such as ‘Equity in your Coaching’ and ‘Long Term Athlete Development’ in order to help them help you better. We also hold regular coaching workshops for them to better develop their coaching skills, knowledge and ability to deliver that information to all of our members.

Kesa Gatame, Judo, Basingstoke

The techniques necessary to practising effective Judo techniques do not rely on the size or strength of the practitioner, meaning that they can be performed against larger and stronger opponents. This makes this Judo a great martial art to learn for children and smaller adults either as a sport or for self defence.

 

Children’s and Family Judo Class

Our Children’s Judo classes are on a Monday evening between 6:30 – 7:30. The class is based at our Basingstoke Judo club and is suitable for Children and Families to attend.

Special Needs Judo

We run an afternoon school club at Dove House Academy in Basingstoke. This is a Special Needs Judo class and is designed to allow anyone to achieve success in their training. This class is every Thursday afternoon between 3:15 – 4:15.


Adults Judo

Our adult’s Judo class is also based in our Basingstoke Judo Dojo, it is between 7:30 – 9:00 every Thursday evening and is suitable for beginners and more experienced practitioners. Starting age range is 14 for this class.
